About Course

The Department of Electrical Engineering affiliated to Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad, was established in 2008.

The B.E. course in Electrical Engineering of NSIT has been keeping in pace with the latest technology in industries. We have always maintained a policy of providing students with state of the art systems and regularly upgraded curriculum. The course is composed of Electrical Engineering as well as relevant software and hardware subjects.

Laboratory facilities along with access to the internet bring out the future Electrical Engineers of high caliber. Also our buildings are installed with Solar Power Plant to deal with the present day energy crises. Integrating environmental education into the learning process helps our students understand how their decisions and actions affect the environment.

We assure that the students undergoing this branch would be able to excel in problem solving skills, critical thinking skills, basic circuit knowledge and enthusiasm for learning, communication skills, organizational skills, numerical skills and creative thinking skills. Students are exposed to corporate environment by means of industrial visits and technical tours. They can prove their talent and expertise through various technical and cultural events organized at college and national level.

Eligibilty

You can be eligible for this course on successfully clearing any of the following exams.

After 12th Science (4 Year course)
After Passing 12th Science with GUJCET (GUJarat Common Entrance Test) for entry in 1st year.

After Diploma Engineering (3 Year course)
After successful completion of Diploma Engineering, you can apply for this course under lateral entry in 2nd year

You can apply for this course in following ways.

Admission by ACPC (Admission Committee for Professional Courses)
After Passing any of the eligibility exams, student needs to register with ACPC. Based on merit ACPC will allow for entry on sanctioned seats.
Admission by Institute
After Passing any of the eligibility exams, institute can allow to join the course on the sanctioned Management Quota seats directly.
